This Privacy Policy explains how Wedding BPM (“Wedding BPM,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit weddingbpm.com, use our planning resources, or contact us. It also explains the choices available to you and how to reach us with a privacy question.

01

What this policy covers

Wedding BPM publishes wedding music guides, song recommendations, and information about DJs, bands, and other wedding entertainment providers. This policy covers information handled through our website and related communications.

Independent vendors, music platforms, social networks, and other websites have their own privacy policies. Their practices apply when you use their services or provide information directly to them.

02

Information you provide

When you email us or submit information through a feature that sends information to Wedding BPM, we receive the details you choose to share. Depending on your request, these may include your name, email address, business contact details, wedding date, venue or city, estimated guest count, entertainment preferences, budget, and the contents of your message.

If you submit a business for editorial consideration or request a correction, we may also receive business information, website and social media links, photographs, and supporting materials.

Please share only what is needed for your request. Do not send payment card details, passwords, government identification numbers, or sensitive information about guests through general inquiries.

03

Planning tools and vendor inquiries

Some planning tools prepare recommendations or draft inquiry text within your browser. The matching tool on our Los Angeles wedding DJs page uses your entries to display a shortlist and prepare a message you can copy. Its matching function does not itself send that message to Wedding BPM or to the suggested vendors.

Copying an inquiry places the text on your device’s clipboard when you permit that action. Sending the message, opening an email link, or completing a vendor’s inquiry form is a separate step.

When you contact a vendor directly, the vendor receives the information you submit under its own privacy policy. A listing or recommendation on Wedding BPM does not make that vendor part of our business.

04

Information associated with website visits

Our website infrastructure may process technical information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as your IP address, requested pages or files, browser and device information, referring page, access times, and error or security records.

Where enabled, measurement tools may also collect information about page visits and interactions to help us understand how readers use our content. Technical identifiers can qualify as personal information even when they do not include your name.

05

How we use information

We use information as relevant to:

  • Deliver, maintain, and troubleshoot the website and its features.
  • Respond to questions, feedback, correction requests, and business inquiries.
  • Review submitted information for editorial consideration.
  • Understand readership and improve our guides and planning resources.
  • Send updates you have requested through an active subscription service.
  • Detect misuse, protect the website, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
06

Cookies, browser storage, and third-party content

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. Similar technologies, including local or session storage, can support website functions and remember technical settings.

Our pages may include externally hosted images, fonts, music players, videos, or other content. Loading these resources can connect your browser to the provider and disclose technical information such as your IP address and the page being viewed. Some providers may set cookies or associate interactions with an account you hold with them, depending on their settings and your choices.

Links to services such as Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, and vendor websites take you to independently operated services. Review the relevant provider’s privacy policy and account controls for information about its practices.

You can manage cookies and website storage through your browser. Blocking some technologies may affect how pages or media features work. Deleting cookies does not necessarily delete information already received by a provider.

07

When information is disclosed

We may disclose relevant information to service providers that support website hosting, security, communications, and other site operations, for the purposes described in this policy.

We may also disclose information when you ask us to, when required by law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate misuse, or address security issues. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable legal requirements.

If you request publication of business information or other material, the information included in the published feature becomes publicly accessible. Avoid including private details in materials intended for publication.

08

Sale, targeted advertising, and privacy signals

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use the information you enter into our matching tool to automatically distribute sales leads to listed vendors.

Our website does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser’s legacy “Do Not Track” signal. Global Privacy Control is a separate signal used to communicate certain privacy choices. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is no such activity to opt out of under this policy. If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide applicable choices and signal handling as required by law.

09

Email preferences

If you subscribe through an active Wedding BPM email subscription service, you can unsubscribe from marketing messages using the link provided in those emails or by contacting info@weddingbpm.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from responding to a request you send us or sending necessary non-marketing communications about that request.

10

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including responding to inquiries, maintaining relevant business records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention depends on the type of information, the reason it is held, and any applicable legal requirements.

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, email system, or method of storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11

Your privacy requests

You may contact us to ask about personal information we hold about you or to request access, correction, or deletion.

Depending on where you live and whether the relevant law applies to our activities, you may have additional rights, including receiving a portable copy of information, objecting to or restricting certain processing, withdrawing consent where processing relies on it, or opting out of certain uses. California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act where that law applies, including rights concerning access, correction, deletion, sale or sharing, and certain uses of sensitive personal information.

To submit a request, email info@weddingbpm.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate relevant records. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority before releasing or changing information. Please do not send identification documents unless we request them through an appropriate method.

We will respond as required by applicable law. Some requests may be subject to exceptions, such as information we must retain for legal obligations. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Where applicable, you may appeal a decision by replying to our response and may contact your local privacy regulator.

12

Children’s privacy

Wedding BPM is intended for adults planning weddings and for wedding professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

13

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our website, services, or legal obligations change. The revised version will appear on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before making a material change to how we use personal information.
